Advocate Adds Two Veteran Executives
Marty Schneider and Jared Skolnick bring
business development, advertising, and marketing experience to Advocate’s growing business.
Advocate, the leading platform for livestream advertising and optimization, has added two new executives as the business prepares for exponential growth in 2023. For several years Advocate has proven successful for esports teams and gaming influencers to manage the monetization of their efforts. Now Advocate plans to increase growth ahead of an expected funding round in 2023.
Marty Schneider, incoming CEO, brings his years of business development and executive management into this new role. Marty’s career has focused on nascent industries and he has proven success in having sold one of those previous businesses. “As a lifelong gamer, seeing esports and streaming become ubiquitous is a dream come true. After seeing what Advocate is capable of, how it empowers brands and esports teams to better monetize their sponsorship campaigns and drive more profits, I couldn’t wait to get started and serve this space.”
Jared Skolnick joins as CMO and is a tech marketing and business development veteran with 20+ years of experience, specializing in ad tech, music, and streaming. He has successfully assisted three companies through equity events: Undertone (private sale), Rubicon Project - now Magnite (IPO), and TripleLift ($1.4B private sale).
“The pandemic showed me that livestreaming is a particularly underutilized marketplace for advertising. After 16-years in traditional ad tech, very little was getting me excited,” said Skolnick. “When I met Deric and learned about Advocate, I was rejuvenated by the potential for something new and I was instantly excited about joining the team.”
