New Feature: Impression Tracking

Advocate Logo with Feature Update and New Feature highlighted in pink, focusing on Impression Tracking capabilities

Hey, everyone!

It’s Deric from Advocate, and I wanted to make a short update providing a few details on Advocate’s new impression tracking feature.

For the past few years, Advocate has had the good fortune to work with some of the greatest gaming and esports organizations globally and help them manage, measure, and serve creative and messaging across all of their Twitch channels in real-time.

Our proprietary impression system differs from an indirect image recognition system in that we serve images directly within the broadcast software of content creators. Advocate then measures those served images by multiplying the exact duration the image was on a channel’s stream by the size of a Twitch channel’s audience at that time, as reported by Twitch.

The ability to cross-reference impression data with Advocate’s exclusive click tracking capabilities allows you to draw more meaningful connections between viewership and campaign performance. In addition, combining impression and click-tracking affords Advocate users with a more holistic view of Twitch and a more robust method of calculating earned media value than indirect estimations based solely on image recognition.
